The perfectly normal child

Fin and I are going to do some photos tonight. Why? Because I'm bored and he's perfectly normal. What does that mean? It means there's nothing extraordinary to report. Which is why it's becoming less fun to report anything. I guess development at this age is a little slower... that is to say, the milestones are farther apart or less "different" like rolling over to sitting to crawling to walking. Once they're walking it's like, he's walking backward and sideways - woohoo!

Nevertheless we do have some photos and videos I will update as soon as I have 3 seconds to connect my camera to this laptop. Which I'm hoping to do now so I can dump the drive and make room for our little photo session. (If he cooperates on all accounts.)

Joy. Photos forthcoming....... ........ and here they are! I'm using small photos here but if you click them you can see the BIG versions :)

We made a tent with a sheet...
but he liked being ON it more
than being under it.

Playing in the play tent...thingy.
(this is one to click to see bigger)

Bunky's face through the mesh
on the tent (a favorite game).

Cute floor shot.
(Note: Pirate booties!!)

Is this thing on?

Hello? I'd like a cheese pizza and
some Canadian beer...

I'll hold the Wii hostage until I'm old enough...

The Maples Leafs are on!? I'm comin'!!!!

Lizard Boy Meets Flower Girl

Fintan in his new lizard-green super-suit!
(footy pajamas)

Fintan and Aisling have a playdate!
(The mommies look pretty crazy...)

And play they did. For hours. It was adorable.
Aisling is getting prettier and prettier by the day.
No question my blonde-loving son is going to be in love with her some day!

The new [faux] leather biker jacket!
And the [faux] pompadour hair style!
LOOK OUT GREASE LIGHTNING!
Oh yeah, and the aqua blue super-suit.

Fintan to scale (in our kitchen).

Hello from Valley Glen...

Omi came to visit and took some nice pictures. They're below.

What is the Bunkster up to these days?
  • Walking, learning to run.
  • Loves sitting in big chairs, climbing onto and off of things.
  • Has discovered that bottom shelves and similarly designed box-like places are great hideouts!
  • Exploring. Everything. No stone unturned, no cabinet door unopened.
  • Putting things into other things. Including toothbrushes into cabinets, toys into trash cans, and sticks into ears. Okay he hasn't done that yet but I'm just waiting...
  • Temper tantrums. Definitely knows what he wants or doesn't want - just has trouble explaining it to you.
  • Addicted to Isabel. Mommy just can't do anything right.
  • Love the park. You can't take him away from the park and survive the day.
  • Easier petting of the cats. Well, of the cat, Nirmal, the one who's too old to really care or need to make a run for it.
  • Louder squealing. Louder screaming. Louder crying. Louder whining.
  • More hugs, kisses, and love-bites.... for his toys and stuffed animals.
All in all he's a huge bundle of toddler joy (and torment). And he's cuter than ever! I can't wait for some of my friends' babies to reach this age/stage!
