Halloween part 1

It's Halloween and where are the photos!??!?!

I went to Pam's to walk with her and Tommy and Sammi (mini-goon) and lo and behold I had forgotten to put my nicely freshly charged battery into the camera!!!

Don't worry, Pam has digital and she will be emailing photos shortly. More details coming up!!!

The 9-month Milestone!

It's so hard to believe I've been a "mom" for 9 months, and that my baby has been outside the womb for as long as he was inside, and that he's so bright, so grown-up, so humongous, and so sweet.

We like the park!

We like dirt!

See how high I can swing!

And see how cute I am!

Pumpkin Patch

Eons ago when I was at Genex, my mommy-mentor Maria had lots of photos of her toddler Truman at the pumpkin patch. The light was waning, but we managed to get a few photos today of Finny, and we bought him a small pumpkin for Halloween. He seemed to like the big, round objects and spend quite some time talking to them, and to his new girlfriend, Eden. (Sorry Aisling - she was very forward... it's not Fin's fault.)

Later that afternoon we saw... TRUMAN! At the store with his dad Adam. SO CUTE. I recognized that face and said to Adam, "Is this Truman?" Adam seemed a little surprised but sure enough it was! He's an adorable little fella too. See, small world and everything is meant to be or something.

Is this like some kind of weird park?

It's the Great Pumpkin, mama!

Finny meets a girl...

OMG... COOTIES!!!

Um, she's getting fresh!
(she gave him a kiss on the cheek, it was adorable!)

This is kinda fun... chillin' with pumpkins!

I could just lounge here all day!

Mini-Goon's Birthday Skate

Our beloved Sammi (aka Mini-Goon) turned 7! On Sunday we had a fun skating party. It had many dramatic moments. Her father Yohn and I were skate monitors (I was more like a living walker), skate lacers, etc., while mom Pam catered to the parents and tended to the important part of the party... the cake & pizza & stuff. Fintan stayed home with Omi, and it's a good thing... it was C O L D!!!

Pretty cake for a pretty girl.

Bunch of 2nd graders of varying skill levels.

There's me distributing strawberries.

It's my party and I'll cry if I want to!!!

(A) I'm almost walking!

(B) I'm freakin' adorable!

(C) I have daddy's mouth.

(D) I'm a little off-center.
(We fear he'll be a goalie :P hahah Sorry, Fin, we already have a goalie in the family!)

Photos from NYC

Fintan makes a friend, Jordan, at the airport. Jordan is 11 months old and crawls and "walks" about the same as Fin, and standing up they were pretty much the same height.

After an exhausting day flying, changing time zones, and being overly excited about Grandma & Grandpa's digs in a high-rise apartment, Gareth cuddled up with Fintan and passed out.

Friday we went apple picking at our favorite orchard. The trees were so pregnant with perfectly shaped, perfectly ripe, crispy Cortland apples that even Fintan was able to reach a few.

Mommy snaps a self-portrait.

Daddy and Fin play Superbaby!

Fin cradles his own apple. Yummy!

Whew! All that hard work makes me stinky! Time for a bath!

Before turning in, Grandpa showed Fin the decor. In this case, it's some little orb thing that reminds me of the laser-beam shooting orb in the Millennium Falcon where Obi-Wan teaches Luke to use the lightsaber using his feelings rather than his eyes.

Yes, only I would think of that.

Well, we're in NYC!

We're in NYC but i have to figure out how to get all the pictures and videos onto this laptop (Mark's dad's) and then fix them up for the web. I may just wait until I get home and put them all up on Monday. Sorry!

Just a little recap:

Thurs: We jetsetted to JFK airport from Burbank on our favorite airline, Jet Blue. Bunky was great.

Fri: We rented a mini-van and we all went apple picking in Warwick at Och's Orchard. This is the whole reason for the trip -- Cortland apples fresh off the tree!

Sat: Bunky stayed home with grandma and grandpa and they went to the park twice and stuff. Mark and I ran all over NYC mostly in search of Chocolate and the best Pizza joints. We had some killer pizza, and of course I bought lots of Jacques Torres chocolates. More on that later. My feet hurt.

Tomorrow: More in the city, esp. in search of a new bag in which to cart our half bushel of apples home, and anything else we find that is nifty. Our flight is in the evening.

Yum, California Chicken Cafe, our favorite!! (Caught the boys a little by surprise.)

We're going to NYC this weekend, so one grandma is going to be all happy, then next weekend the other comes to visit and she's going to be all happy... :) There's another grandma, she never gets to see him :( We have a lot more traveling to do...
