Gojira Pt. 2

When putting the little guy to bed the other night, I noticed a small problem - his favorite blanket was nowhere to found. Fortunately he was a good boy and went to bed peacefully anyway, but when I looked for it yesterday and couldn't find it again, I knew there was going to be trouble. I checked with Isabel, and she didn't know where it was either - not in the house, not in her car...the blanket was nowhere to be found, which meant another evening of hoping he didn't notice that fact when it was time for bed.

Fortunately, after making some calls last night, Isabel managed to locate the missing blanket at a friend's house where Fin sometime goes on his day trips to the park. She brought it over this morning, just in time, since Fin was beginning to get cranky, but being reunited with his favorite blanket soon put an end to that.

Next problem - he's beginning to notice that Mama is also missing. He's been walking around calling for her and is becoming less satisfied with the "Mamma's at work still" response. Uh oh....

Ingrid vs. Godzilla pt. 1

Well, Ingrid had to head out to Japan this week, so this week is mostly Bunky and daddy. Fortunately, the people at work are understanding and are letting me leave early enough to beat traffic and take over from the nanny at a reasonable hour.

Last night the little guy was calling "Mama, mama!" and trying to figure out where mom was, but fortunately I was able to distract him with dinner and Legos and a bath. He even got to see a rare sight - the Maple Leafs WINNING a hockey game. But he's being a very good boy and not running dad (too) ragged just yet. He even went to bed without a fuss and took his robe off on his own.

I promised Ingrid I'd upload some pictures for her but can't seem to find my card reader anywhere. So, pictures are coming, but not right this second. Sorry.

Update: OK, I found the card reader and have added a few pics left over from Xmas as well. Unfortunately, they mostly seem to be oriented incorrectly and since I hear Fin stirring I don't have time to fix it. Maybe Ingrid can do it from japan.

Bunky Misses his Mama

I'm in Japan. If I had my nifty cable I could upload some nifty photos of Fintan from last week but NO! That would be convenient. :P

Meanwhile I'm going to let Mark do the daily "Fin Misses his Mommy" blog while I'm away. That way we all get our fix - me included. I miss my baby!

:D
